Description

Walks with Alan: Winter Beauty in the Spruce and Birch Collections

960-11-29-18

Thursday, November 29

2 p.m. - 4 p.m.

Alan Branhagen, Arboretum Director of Operations and published horticulture author

Spruce and birch are some of the most commonly planted trees (and shrubs, depending on species!) in Minnesota, but there are so many cultivars and species to choose from! Alan will introduce you to some of his favorites that are particularly striking in the winter landscape. You’ll leave with a new appreciation for trees, and inspiration for your landscape and future Arboretum visits.
