Seasonal Evergreen Make-and-Take: Six-Foot Decorative Garland
Saturday, November 17, 2018
2:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Laura Vogel, Adult Education Programs Manager, Minnesota Landscape Arboretum
Add a welcoming touch to your doorway, mantle, or stairway by making your own evergreen garland. Laura will begin discussing the unique properties that make evergreens so well suited for winter outdoor display, and the challenges and solutions for bringing them inside. You’ll then learn how to make a garland through step-by-step instruction. You’ll enjoy the festive atmosphere and chance to use your creativity as you select from a diversity of botanical materials. You will go home with a beautiful creation that will welcome visitors throughout the holiday season, and the skills needed to make more garlands in the future. All supplies are included in the fee for a 6-foot garland. Bring gloves and pruners, one or two garbage bags to safely transport your garland, and dress for sap!
