Wildlife Photography (750-05-03-14)
Saturday, May 3, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

John Pennoyer,
With the coming of the “digital age” in photography one of the fastest growing segments has been photographing wildlife. Join our acclaimed photography instructor John Pennoyer in a small group to learn how to set-up your camera for fast focusing, continuous high speed shooting and other settings to capture that elusive wildlife image. He will talk about some of his “secret spots” where he captures some of his wildlife images. The class session will not only cover mammals, but also birds and how to set up backyard perches for bird photography, and also shooting birds “on the wing.” John will be setting some bird feeders and perches on the Arboretum grounds, so that during your shooting sessions, you will practice your new skills on the many birds around the feeders and arboretum grounds. Although any lens will work, John recommends a lens in the 300mm range or longer for wildlife photography. This class is designed for the intermediate photographers familiar with the operation of their DSLR camera.
Includes Arboretum admission.
