When you don't have space for an herb or veggie garden consider raising fresh greens and herbs in containers for a perfect salad. Assemble a matching set of containers for sun or partial shade for an immediate effect with lettuces, arugula, mesclun, kale and herbs. You’ll learn about plant varieties, soil types, containers, watering, fertilizing and care. Just bring two containers, matching or not, plastic or clay, round or square—so long as they are not larger than 12” x 12” x12.” You’ll get plants and soil needed to create your “edible entrance!” Bring a shears and dress for greenhouse work.
Includes Arboretum admission, plants and soil.
