Shooting the Light: Dusk to Dawn (750-08-08-14)
Friday, Aug. 8, 3:30 – 9:30 p.m. through Saturday, Aug. 9, 5:30 a.m. – 2 p.m.

John Pennoyer, http://www.impressionsofnature.net/
One of the most important factors a photographer must learn to recognize is the “quality of light.” Light should dictate to a photographer how, when and where to take that dynamic picture. On this Friday/Saturday class, you will first spend time in the classroom with acclaimed photography educator John Pennoyer discussing the importance of light in your photography. On Friday evening the class will also spend some time photographing the sunset on the Arboretum grounds, and then early Saturday morning the class will meet to photograph the Arboretum sunrise. By the end of the class, you will understand that it is always the “quality” of light and not the “quantity” of light that makes a difference in your photography. This class is designed for intermediate level photographers who are comfortable with the basic operation of their DSLR camera. Note: Students should bring all of their camera equipment including tripod and the camera operating manual. It is also a good idea to bring a small flash light. Breakfast on Saturday morning provided.
Includes Arboretum admission.
