LECTURE - Winter Light: Photographing Winter Wonders (750-01-06-18-02)
Saturday, January 6, 10 a.m. - noon

John Pennoyer, acclaimed nature photographer and popular instructor; view John’s work at www.impressionsofnature.net

Level: All levels
Winter can yield surprisingly beautiful images – it’s one of John’s favorite seasons for shooting pictures. It does take a little know how, though: From what to wear to troubleshooting with your equipment in very cold weather. John will share his valuable experience in these topics, as well as discuss how to make best use of winter light, and techniques for getting the correct exposure for winter landscapes. You will leave with a comprehensive handout and knowledge ready to be applied as soon as a blanket of snow arrives! Your camera is optional: you may want to bring it to refer to during the lecture, but no hands-on time with the instructor is included.
NOTE: Dates coming for “IN THE FIELD” PRACTICUM - Winter Light: Photographing Winter Wonders for {optional} field portion of this class
Snyder Auditorium, includes Arboretum admission
