Discover how the culture and geography of Japan is reflected in garden design. Practice representing nature in miniature as you create a Japanese dry garden and plant your own living Japanese Garden to take home. Then we will explore the Arboretum’s Japanese garden “Seisui tei” or Garden of Pure Water. See the principles manifest in the garden and use writing and illustration to reflect on the feeling of the garden.
