Welcome to the vineyard! Join vineyard keepers at the University of Minnesota's Horticulture Research Center where cold-climate grape history is being made! Delve into the winding journey of cold climate grapes and find out about how University of Minnesota varieties are creating such excitement in the wine making industry. There are grapes for eating and grapes for making wine, and you'll discover which are best for your garden and table. Learn which cultivars to grow, how to grow them, what to do about diseases and pests, and more. You'll head into the vineyard to learning about pruning techniques during this critical time for vines. Take home your own cutting of a cold hardy grape vine to plant this spring! Arboretum gate fee IS included in the tuition, so folks can come and visit before or after the class.
