2017 Hennepin County MG Learning Garden Tour (152-07-08-17)
Saturday, July 8, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. rain or shine
Celebrating its 10th year, this year's Learning Garden Self-Guided Tour will feature eight gorgeous gardens in Southwest Minneapolis. To celebrate this special anniversary, the 2017 tour will include food trucks at some stops; a drawing to win a 1-hour Master Gardener consultation; and several fun, hands-on demos, including Home Hydroponics and Sauerkraut 101.
As always, visitors may explore the gardens at their leisure. Master Gardener volunteers will be on hand to answer questions and demonstrate a variety of gardening techniques. Stop at the Garden Shed to shop for garden-themed art, birdhouses, mason bee houses and outdoor accessories. Don't miss the Book Nook where you'll find a wide variety of gardening books, including several by local authors. And be sure to see the raptors, courtesy of the Raptor Center, which will be visiting one of the gardens.
Tickets: Advance tickets are $15 ($20 day of tour). Quantity discounts are available - 10 tickets for $125, 20 tickets for $250. Children under 12 get in free when accompanied by a paying adult. All proceeds help support the University of Minnesota Master Gardener Program - Hennepin County community programs. After you purchase your ticket, please visit http://hennepinmastergardeners.org/events/hcmg-learning-garden-tour for a list of the gardens. Please present your receipt at any location to begin your tour.
